There are three nights designated as "On Your Own" when you may choose to try one of the local restaurants or make dinner for yourself at the Villa Verano kitchen. You may also want to consult this list for lunch options. The restaurants listed here are easy walking distance from us on Hopkins beach. There are also other options in Hopkins village that may require a taxi or, for the more adventurous, a bike ride. Trip Advisor is a good source for finding additional restaurants in Hopkins, as most do not have their own websites.

The Barracuda brings together fine dining with a casual, seafront atmosphere, with an extensive brunch menu during the day and selections of  seafood, steaks, and pasta in the evening.

Chef Rob's has a daily changing menu to offer the freshest Caribbean meals. Also at this location is Love On The Rocks Grill, which offers a unique stone grill concept.

Fresh meets fusion with their Belizean and international cuisine with a Caribbean twist. Choose to dine in casually elegant surroundings either under the magnificent trusses inside the Great House, on the veranda, or al fresco on the deck. Every effort is made to source the finest local ingredients and have them delivered from the farm to your table, pure and fresh. Organic produce is used from their edible garden, which you can also to tour.

Bahay Fiesta is an open air restaurant that serves a variety of food, including Filipino and Indian. They have nachos, fish tacos, adobo, pancit, and lumpia (spring rolls), as well as curry and other tasty foods.

Fat Mermaid serves burgers, wraps, pitas, and smoothies, in addition to shawarmas and curries - a casual beachfront place with a good vibe.

The Sea Bar is described as the biggest beach party in Hopkins, with Birdman the bartender and a menu of kebabs and wood fired pizza.

La Trattoria Romana is the only true Italian restaurant in Hopkins, with a variety of Italian dishes from pasta to pizza with thin crust, and an assortment of wines.

Stop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just sit and relax with a beer  or some fresh juice and the best rotisserie chicken around.

New American bar, BBQ, and burgers for lunch, dinner, and drinks. (We've heard this location may be moving before our arrival.)

Fun, indoor  bar with 2 large screen televisions,  outdoor seating, games, and a courtyard. Featuring the best and only Mexican cuisine. Happy hour 3:00pm - 6:00pm, Taco Tuesdays with many featured tacos on special.

Lucky Lobster is a fun, open air beach bar serving great drinks and delicious food. They feature fresh, locally inspired Caribbean bar food. They are kid friendly and have a great kid's menu, too.
